About Us and our technology partners

Aim logo

Aim is not a traditional IT services company. We make the power of new technology as simple as possible, particularly for SMEs who do not wish to employ internal IT staff. Being experienced in business ourselves, we work firstly from the needs of customers and their organisations. Only then do we recommend technical solutions.

Based near Bath, UK, we provide hosted business solutions such as WebOffice, and NetSuite - a turnkey, fully integrated suite of business applications. We work with international teams of technically qualified specialists located in the UK, Boston and San Mateo. We are the providers of UK and European support and training.

The founding partners, Peter and Gill McCowen, have a wide range of business and IT experience having worked for, or consulted for, organisations such as BP, British Library, Zurich, Thomson Financial Datastream, LogicaCMG, Praxis, PwC, Virgin and the former Strategic Rail Authority.

Besides contributing to the success of businesses we are also actively involved in developing and supporting the local community including:

  • Committee member, Web and database manager, for Bath Business Women's Association (BBWA) - 130 members.
  • Support for St Mark's School in Bath in attaining status as Business and Enterprise college, specialist contributor to Governor Committees, supervising and participating in a volunteer mentoring scheme for year 9 pupils (13-14 year olds)
  • Trustee of Off the Record (Bath and North East Somerset), an information, advice and counselling service for young people between the ages of 12 and 25.
  • Member of Bathford Parish Plan and initiator of community co-operative to run the local shop.
